International Council of Marine Industry Associations

Registered Marine Coatings Inspectors course and qualification
The RMCI qualification was instigated by the SuperYacht Builders Association (SYBAss) in conjunction with the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) and working with the International Institute of Marine Surveyors (IIMS) and the Institute of Corrosion (ICorr). The course, the qualification and the certification system were produced in response to the request from these bodies.
International Registered Marine Insulation Inspectors course and qualification
There was no recognised qualification or career path for subsea insulation inspectors. In close collaboration with specialist industry partners and associates WGIM – A Wood Group Kenny Business, the International Registered Marine Insulation Inspectors (IRMII) training course has been developed with accreditation made by the International Institute of Marine Surveying.
eCMID Accredited Vessel Inspector accreditation scheme
IIMS manages, through its subsidiary MSA, the accreditation scheme on behalf of the International Marine Contractors Association, which objectively assesses against set criteria the competency of an inspector to perform an eCMID audit on specialist offshore vessels.
